A large urban development on a plot of 256,600 sq.m in a fast growing area of Marrakesh. The master plan considers the need for the project to grow incrementally; hence the layout is arranged on the basis of four integrated phases that organically support each other, as well as permits any phase to be implemented with disturbance to the others. It includes variety of facilities: retail, F&B, cultural, residential, hospitality and offices totalling in terms of built up are to 220,000 sq.m.
A skirling aspect of the master plan is the axial link between the two opposing corners / focal points: an amphitheatre on one corner and hotel and office on the other side, this spine is reserved only for pedestrian the project; hence the name of “the Walk”. Components are arranged along the spine considering: accessibility and adequate parking provision, different circulation patterns, and adjacent facilities; all in relation to each other. The architecture is modern in approach, where the identity of each component is clearly evident but with an overall harmonious unity.
