The design addresses fundamental questions. What is the enduring symbolism of a building? How could the monumental scale of the building be translated into a unique landmark? What is the architectural theme to be employed in a building type that does not have a precedent in the heritage of a place? And finally, how do the diatomic ingredients of tradition and modern coexist in harmony and complementary states? Therefore, the concept of this stately building is a fascinating blend derived from the local heritage and Islamic architecture with its diverse types and elements.

The architecture aims to establish an enduring political & national symbol of Abu Dhabi and the UAE. Symmetry and axial arrangement are employed in both the design of the individual buildings and the overall site layout to enhance the ceremonial and elegance feeling of the project. This generates an architectural statement that is unmistakably monumental and unique.
